The Linemaster is a compact, portable line-monitoring device used to identify DTMF (touch-tone) and pulse(rotary) dialed digits. In addition, the Linemaster provides an enhanced Digital dB Meter, a 1004Hz Tone Generator, a high quality Audio Monitor and a built-in 600 Ohm load.
As with the The PHD Telecommunicator, the Linemaster, possesses Ziad's Exclusive Dialed Digit Display/Analyzing technology, displayed on a large, easy-to-read 32 character (2 rows by 16 characters) Liquid Crystal Display.
The built-in Digital dB Meter has an effective range of -40 dBm to +6 dBm, in 0.5 dBm steps.
The switchable Tone Generator generates a 1004.1 Hz tone at 0.0 dBm when transmitted across the 600 Ohm load.
The Enhanced Audio Monitor provides clean, clear audio reproduction with an adjustable volume control.
The switchable 600 Ohm load provides the means of making highly accurate dBm readings with the Digital dB Meter, and also terminating a line or trunk providing detection of live pairs.
The unit is housed in a high-impact ABS plastic case and weighs 16 ounces. It measures 7" x 3.9" x 1.4" and comes in its own double-walled foam -lined carrying case. Included with each unit are: four foot test leads with engineering-style alligator clips (color coded: red & green), and four AA alkakine batteries
